Say hello to Bumpy No. 13: "Wi-Fi Breath" by the UK's bizarro darlings, I Know I'm An Alien! I Know I'm An Alien are Socialist art-synth-punks from North London. Much of the group's music is recorded on old cassette machines and largely criticizes the evils of capitalism like incredible previous albums "Money Is Your God" & "Do You Work Here?". "Wi-Fi Breath", their seventh full length, is departure from the tape-based technology I Know I'm An Alien is used to, as this album is an abstract journey into a completely digital landscape of robotic drums, food-processed insect vocals, melting, pitched guitars, and plenty of synths. The album's sound is sharp, jagged, and covered in a glassy frost on its surface, while still maintaining a wily and bendy playfulness every step of the way. Its themes include technological fetishization, the absurd hierarchy of human-based housing for CA$H, & personal pettiness. "Wi-Fi Breath" is a twisted treat chock full of digital heat. Fans of The Residents, Devo, & Ween are especially sure to love this one!
